My name is Amber.

I’m 36 years old.

I have a Ph.D. in chemical engineering, an MS in pharmaceutical sciences, and a BS in chemical engineering.

I work as a Process Development Engineer.

While I love my job, my real passion is helping women in STEM get their dream job and coaching them to level up their life beyond their wildest imagination.

I have a cat named Princess Peach, who I’m obsessed with.

I love cheering for the Kentucky Wildcats.

In my free time, I enjoy lifting, spinning, and practicing yoga.

When I was in grad school, several professors told

When I was in grad school, several professors told me I “lacked critical thinking skills” or that I “would be nothing more than a lab tech,” amongst other derogatory comments.

(⚠️ Nothing wrong with lab techs - they do A LOT of fantastic work. Our labs would not run without them.)

Jokes on them, though…I got my Ph.D., and those things I lacked mainly were symptoms of my undiagnosed ADHD. And they’ve also become strengths in my career in industry.

Don’t talk “science-y” enough? 👉🏼 Excellent at communicating with those in finance and business

Struggle with putting things in logical order 👉🏼 able to see inconsistencies or patterns others miss = great at problem-solving

At the end of the day, those things that seem like your greatest weakness could someday be your greatest asset. Don’t let naysayers stand in the way of your dreams ☁️☁️
